ARTIST BIO Chris Hergenroder Welcome to the eclectic world of Chris Hergenroder. Armed with a guitar and enough energy to choke a small horse, he sets out to win over fans with his unique approach to the one-man show. Chris is a self-taught musician listing guitar, keyboards, bass, and vocals to his credits. Starting his career in 1990 with a hard rock band he moved to Hollywood in 1996 in pursuit of something bigger. Los Angeles proved to be the wrong place at the wrong time, so upon moving back to the Gulf Coast, Chris began a writing project called Fourth Quarter. Mixing poetic lyrics with a folk sensibility and adding a pop hook brought about some of his most imaginative pieces of music. Always looking for something different,in 1999 Chris helped form another rock band called Bomba Dak. Immediately striking a chord with fans, the band spent the next two years touring the southeast with an arsenal of in your face stage antics and a strong set list of covers as well as original songs. Touring with Bomba Dak also enabled Chris to play shows with some of his favorite bands doing club gigs with bands like The Ugli Stick and Mars Electric, as well as festivals with bands like 3 Doors Down and Live. And now the next chapter begins. Chris has parted with Bomba Dak to pursue a solo career. He has spent much of the past year playing solo acoustic shows touring the bars and nightclubs, hitting all the hot-spots to showcase his new project. Mixing new radio hits with his favorite songs from the 80's and throwing in his own original material is proving to be a winning recipe for success as fans are always receptive to his accessible personality and quick wit on stage. It has been a long road till now and there are many miles left to go. We hope to see you along the way. Enjoy the show! |
